The Early Night Club started three years ago by marketing consultant Alex Ruczaj, designer Nick Welsh and entrepreneur Vicky Fenton – three friends and work colleagues who had a mutual interest in having a good time.
Our chosen charities
We all like to do our bit for charity but what better way to do it than dancing the night away and catching up with friends? We have chosen the charities below to give 50% of our profits to.
East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices
EACH supports families and cares for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk. They provide care and support wherever the family wishes – in families’ own homes, in hospital or at one of their hospices in Ipswich, Milton and Quidenham.
Disasters Emergency Committee
DEC unites the 14 leading UK aid agencies in their efforts to finance relief for people suffering major disasters in poorer countries. They ensure donors’ funds deliver effective and timely relief for people in need during emergencies around the world.
They also strive to improve standards in the delivery of humanitarian aid, the raising of funds via the public and the monitoring of their operations to ensure money is spent in an effective and fully accountable way.
Thanks to the generosity of donors and support from media and corporate partners, they have raised more than £750 million since their launch in 1963 which has helped save lives and rebuild communities devastated by disasters.
Comic Relief is a major charity based in the UK which strives to create a just world free from poverty. It works 365 days a year to help that vision become a reality. Their mission is to drive positive change through the power of entertainment.
- They raise millions of pounds through two big fundraising campaigns – Red Nose Day and Sport Relief;
- They spend that money in the best possible way to tackle the root causes of poverty and social injustice.
They are a high profile organisation but they raise such a huge amount of money for local and international causes and we think they are amazing and are happy to support them – particularly from our February and March events. Collection buckets will also be at these events to raise extra funds for the extra generous.
ALTA – Addenbrookes Liver Transplant Association
ALTA raises money to help improve the quality of life for patients and their families on the transplant unit. From emotional support, to relaxation therapies and essential equipment. ALTA is run by those who have undergone transplantation and understand how to make positive changes.
Thank you for helping us to support these great causes.
